Snowshoe Trek
Mountain fell steep's and slopes offer amazing sights and snowshoe tracks during the early winters thin snow cover. Snowshoes are very usable for moving around at this time of the year in the ice covered lakes or even the deepest hillside of the rounded mountains. We arrange Snowshoe Treks to mazing ravine's and landscape's of Pyhätunturi mountain fell National Park. Snowshoes can also be rented for independent treks.

Ski treks
Pyhä-Luosto touring grounds offer a well managed network of skiing tracks. All tracks are marked and maintained centrally. For more details please visit the Pyhä-Luosto skiing track map at www.pyha.fi

Skiing weeks
On weeks 10 trough 16 we arrange guided skiing treks to Pyhä and Luosto mountain fells.

Trek cabins and fire places
Lapin Orava has a Ski track café at Soutaja mountain fell which is very popular place for pause for picnic lunch, coffee and refreshments during the skiing season.

HuttuGrill
Grill at Huttujärvi lake is one of the most popular wilderness services offered by Natural Heritage Services (http://www.metsa.fi/english/index.html). This resting place offers a fireplace with dry wood and even a small cabin to stay over night (booking required). During the summer time Huttujärvi lake can be reached by bike's (can be rented from Lapin Orava Holiday Village) or by hiking. All hiking trails and services are well marked and mapped and maintained.

Snow scooter safari
Snow scooters and safaris have a long history in Lapin Orava Holiday Village programme. Snow scooters are used in most of the winter programmes from jig trek to entertaining the children with a short snow scooter run on the frozen lake surface .

Weddings
We have traditions in arranging successful weddings and other family feasts. Weddings are planned according to the wishes of the pride and groom from the start to the finish including menu's and entertainment.
Many weddings take place during the summer, because the summer evenings are long, warm and beautiful - just perfect for a perfect wedding. During the summer the beach side wedding site is without mosquitos because of the small wind breeze from the lake side.

Family Holidays
It is easy to come to Lapin Orava with small children. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxing. Who knows, the kids might meet new friends, too!

Midsummer night dance
The sunny nights of Lapland summer can be spend by dancing in the dance terrace close on the Oravanranta beach.

Enjoying the food
Our buffet meals usually crown the successful holidays. Our meals are prepared by professional with professional equipment. For big out door events we use our excellent facility at the old school building kitchen and for the everyday food preparation we have a new kitchen facility at the main Holiday Village building.

Cabin kitchen
Romantic dinners and family lunches can also be prepared at your own cabin which are equipped with small kitchen style including the dishes.

Small meals and snacks at any time
Snacks and small meals (huikopala) taste good at what ever time of the day in the sauna's fireplace room or in the grill canopy on the beach.
